Description

Choir of the Sound is thrilled to announce auditions for our upcoming season beginning in September!

Auditions will be held Tuesday, August 10th, and Monday, August 16th starting at 6 pm at Terrace View Presbyterian Church. Each slot is 10 minutes in length with a 5 minute break to allow aerosols to disperse.

What to expect during your audition: No prepared piece is required.
1. Your audition will begin with an extended warm-up to display the range and qualities of your singing voice. This will include singing a familiar song.
2. You will be quizzed on intervals, rhythm, and pitch retention.
3. You will be asked to sing a short musical excerpt consisting of a simple melody.
4. You will be asked to sight-read your voice part on a standard four-part chorale/hymn.

Auditionees are required to wear a mask at all times while in the building. Everyone representing Choir of the Sound will be masked and are fully vaccinated.

Please email auditions@choirofthesound.org to ask questions or schedule an audition. If you are not comfortable auditioning in person at this time, we are accepting virtual auditions. Please let us know this is your preference when contacting us.
