Bring a prepared solo with accompaniment. We will have an accompanist to play for you. We will run you through some scales and easy vocal exercises.
Regular attendance at our Monday rehearsals is an expectation.
We rehearse from 7:15-9:15pm on Monday evenings in a private home on the south end of Mercer Island.
Description
Women’s Sound is a soprano and alto choir, located on the Eastside of the Seattle area. In our initial year (just completed) we have become a community of women who find joy in singing together! Our song selection ranges from classical to jazz and pop music, with a variety of difficulty. Our first concert series featured music expressing the emotions we live as we journey through life. Love, loss, hope, joy, and the care of others are expressed in songs with beauty as we formed our initial sound as a group. We are very proud of the accomplishments thus far, and will be open to select new members for the Fall of 2026.
For information on the group and on auditioning, please contact Nancy Ziebart or Robin Holland. A planned evening of auditions is scheduled for August 24, 2026 on Mercer Island. An audition will consist of singing some scales/exercises, and a prepared song of your choice. Please join us! We have fun and make incredible music together!
