Mirinesse Women's Choir celebrates diverse and outstanding choral repertoire for women through excellence in performance.
Our Mission: Mirinesse Women's Choir connects singers to each other and our audience through the choral art.
Our Vision: Mirinesse Women's Choir envisions a culture that broadly supports choral arts and promotes the social, emotional and physical benefits of the shared choral experience.
Mirinesse is Old English for “joyful women”. The singers of Mirinesse Women’s Choir are an auditioned ensemble of approximately sixty five women, ages 21-70, who enthusiastically and joyfully share their love of music, and strive to model the highest level of musicianship, artistry and individual vocal ability. Co-founded in 2006 by Rebecca Rottsolk and Beth Ann Bonnecroy, the choir is now conducted by Ms. Rottsolk. Mirinesse rehearses 3 1/2 months each year preparing one program presented in several performances around the region. Auditions are held in September, followed by a full day kick off in October and two 'get started' rehearsals before the holidays. Regular Monday rehearsals begin in January - with 4 concerts in early March in the greater Puget Sound region.
The Choir has produced four CDs. Mirinesse has been honored to perform at the 2009 National Convention of the American Association of Choral Directors, the NW Regional ACDA Convention in Seattle, Vancouver BC's Elektra Women's Choir Tapestry Festival in 2012, and the 2016 International Choral Festival in Missoula, MT.
