Description

An auditioned community chamber choir, Meridian Ensemble is comprised of volunteer singers dedicated to producing high quality performances of secular choral repertoire spanning from the late nineteenth century to modern day. We welcome new members with solid musical skills and choral experience. The ensemble meets on Wednesday evenings at acoustically wonderful Magnolia United Church of Christ. Auditions can be scheduled throughout the season. View samples of our performances at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4U7hjIj-Mc

The first days of rehearsals in 2020 is January 22nd. If you'd like to schedule audition, please contact the artistic director at yuly@meridianensemble.net.

Founding Artistic Director Yuly Kopkin, a native of Ekaterinburg, Russia, comes from a strong performance-centered European conservatory tradition and also holds a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington on a Fulbright scholarship. Before moving to Seattle, he was the founding artistic director and conductor of internationally acclaimed, award-winning university choir 'Vita in Canto' from his birth town.
