Description

Singers will meet over 5 weeks to learn about the music, history and culture surrounding the recusant world of William Byrd, focusing on parts of Byrd's 'Mass for Four Voices' as well as music by Morley, Tallis, Wilbye, et al. Resources provided are .pdf scores, pre-recorded audio & video lessons, weekly Zoom meetings, a reference recording of all pieces, and an opportunity to observe live rehearsals taking place in conjunction with the remote track. A final performance will be offered on Sun., Oct. 25th at 3pm, as a curated discussion led by director Anne Lyman, with recorded performances and a slide show, available for later viewing on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBUxcOS3Ju8vCX1db3kcccg.
