Description

Opus 7, conducted by Loren Pontén, presents the Northwest premiere of Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian’s dramatic and moving “Requiem” for vocal soloists, choir, and string orchestra, “dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.” Also featured are two major works by Northwest composers: Bern Herbolsheimer’s “Stabat Mater” for soprano solo, choir, string quartet, and oboe; and “The King of Glory” by John Muehleisen, featuring Jubilate! (St. James Cathedral’s young women’s ensemble).
