Description

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED to a night of nostalgia and inspiration as Bellevue Chamber Chorus closes our first forty years with a look back and a look forward!

This concert spans music history with selections by Handel, Thomas Tomkin, Gerald Finzi and André Thomas, as well as Kyle Pedersen's piece Can We Sing the Darkness to Light with violin and cello. We will also premiere the winner of our 2nd biennial Emerging Composer Competition! Joining our celebration are former Artistic Director Dr. Fred Lokken, alumni singers and student instrumentalists as we share music, food and fond memories.

Since 1984, Bellevue Chamber Chorus has striven to fulfill its mission to share the joy of singing with the community, to pursue diverse and rewarding collaborations, and to strive for musical excellence. Our 40th season has featured pieces that highlight the role of music in our lives, as singing gives us a voice to express ourselves, it connects us with others and our community, and it helps us to reflect on the past while inspiring hope for a bright future. We hope that our music has provided this for all our audiences this season, and we look forward to the next 40 years in the greater Seattle area! ~~Ben Luedcke, Artistic Director
