Description

A concert focused on themes of war, strife, loss of loved ones, and longing for peace. Featured works include Pizzetti’s ”Ululate,” Jeffrey Van’s “Beat Beat Drums!” Rheinberger's Warum toben die Heiden (Why do the Nations Rage?), Stephen Paulus' Peace; Paul Aitken's In Flander's Field, Elgar's They are at Rest, and many others works based on a wide variety of texts from scripture, Rumi, and the Civil War, as well as several from WWI as part of the WWI Centennial Commemoration.
