Mozart’s Requiem stands as one of choral music’s undisputed masterpieces, a powerful work left incomplete at the time of his death. The genius and intensity of Mozart’s writing captivate audiences throughout this moving piece. Complementing Mozart’s final work will be the premiere of Epoch of Hughes, by the Emmy award winning composer, Jasmine Barnes. Her music addresses yet another historical incompletion: the ongoing struggle for human rights and equality. Barnes will join us for the premiere of her new work written expressly for the Seattle Choral Company.
