Into ParadiseRenaissance Polyphony in Portugal and Spain
Description
Sine Nomine, with Anne Lyman conducting, offers a program of sacred and secular songs of the Golden Age in Spain and Portugal - the period from the early 16th to the late 17th century characterized by a flourishing of literature, art, music, and culture. We feature famed composers such as Tomás Luis de Victoria and Francisco Guerrero in Spain, and Manuel Cardoso and Duarte Lobo in Portugal, as well as several lesser-known composers whose works are finely crafted and deserving of a wider audience. We invite you to join us for this unique concert experience of a cappella choral music from the Iberian peninsula!
