With the end of Queen Elizabeth II’s seventy years on the throne, it’s time for a coronation. Just a few weeks after King Charles III was crowned, the Emerald Ensemble will present an evening of music written for English coronations of centuries past. Perennial favorites by Handel and Parry will appear, as well as works by major and minor composers from the seventeenth through twentieth centuries. Hear Emerald Ensemble’s twelve singers at St. James Cathedral, featuring its majestic organ played by Christopher Stroh.
