“…hunted and persecuted on every side…”THE MAYFLOWER VOYAGE AND RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE
Wars, crusades, forced conversions, and exclusionary laws impact every aspect of life, musical work included. To mark the 400th Anniversary of the voyage of the Mayflower, we contemplate religious intolerance throughout history. Music from 17th-century psalters weaves together works of Encina, Eccard, Rossi, Byrd, and Cozzolani. With special guest, Rev. Terry Kyllo, Executive Director of Paths to Understanding.
