GSCC Big Sing and 2024 Annual Meeting
Description
Yes, the Big Sing is back! We are trying something new this time by merging the Big Sing event with our Annual Meeting. We'll be singing the Fauré Requiem in D Minor together, followed by our annual meeting about the state of the consortium.
Who is invited: Everyone that sings in a GSCC member choir!!
Repertoire: Faure Requiem Op. 40 – we will be using the edition that is edited by John Rutter currently published by Oxford, formerly published by Hinshaw. Please bring your score if you have one. If you do not have one, there is a good substitute for this version on CPDL that can be found, downloaded, and printed at https://bit.ly/FaureCPDL .
There is no cost to come and sing and we hope that everyone will join us for this fun time of togetherness. Youth choirs – this means your members too!
Each movement is being conducted by a director from one of our member groups and we will have instrumentalists as well. Right after the performance we will hold our annual meeting, so sing then stay for snacks and the meeting.
