Gloria! A Celebration of Christmas
Description
The Northwest Chorale, directed by Lynn Hall, will present its winter concert entitled Gloria! A Celebration of Christmas this holiday season. Admission is complimentary and a cash free-will offering will be taken to benefit Northwest Harvest.
This musical feast of carols and other sacred works features John Rutter’s spectacular Gloria with soprano soloist Emili Rice, brass octet, and organ. Morten Lauridsen’s sublime O Magnum Mysterium and Sure on This Shining Night offer beautiful and intricate choral singing. Filling out the program are a variety of modern seasonal works and carols including several carols by Rutter, two lovely carol arrangements by Dan Forrest, cheerful songs by Alfred Burt, and more. These delightful songs and creative arrangements of beloved carols will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
