Description

We learn from the creativity and imaginations of children. We watch children at play and wonder over their brilliant, inventive young minds. Music, both singing and movement, seem to flow without restraint from young children. As we close our season, we present “Flights of Fancy”, a concert that invites each of our choirs to be playful, light-hearted, imaginative set to performers sharing choral settings by some of the great composers of our day. We will sing of imaginary creatures like Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky and tell of barnyards that come to life at nighttime and swings that send a child flying and planes that spin heavenward close enough to touch the face of God. You will not want to miss this experience! And like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory may I invite you to “Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination!”
