Description
If you are looking for a break from the overwhelming news cycle, we’d love to help! Live music connects you to something greater—bringing together mindfulness, creativity, and community.
Bach by Arrangement, weaves together the contrapuntal brilliance and melodic beauty of Bach’s organ trios (in arrangements for strings and continuo) with arias by Purcell and Bach and a few favorite arrangements of Bach.
SBF is delight to introduce you to our guest artist, tenor Haitham Haidar, who will sing Purcell’s “Music for a while”, Bach’s “Ich traue seiner Gnaden” from Cantata 97, as well as “Wa Habibi”. Wa Habibi is an Arabic text sung on Good Friday, and was made famous by Fairouz, a legend in Lebanese and Arab music and theater.
Artists:
Haitham Haidar, tenor
Tekla Cunningham, baroque violin
Stef Creswell, baroque viola
David Morris, baroque cello
Henry Lebedinsky, organ and harpsichord
