The Esoterics' 2020 season, HINDSIGHT, begins with the North American premiere of AS PALMEIRAS (the palm trees), a 37-movement work setting texts from 33 countries around the world, in 24 languages, composed by our own founder and artistic director, Eric Banks. The work’s texts – poems, adages, proverbs, and articles – are all about the palm tree and its fruit, and are presented as if the listener is traveling around the world, starting in California and going east to end in Tahiti.
