Description
We conclude our 27th season with an epic journey through the American songbook, featuring traditional and new hymnody and rousing spirituals. We welcome our 2019 Poet in Residence, Michael Dennis Browne, as we explore both text and sonority through readings of his poetry between our musical offerings. This ‘bright ring of words’ concludes with a world premiere collaboration between composer Kevin Siegfried and poet Michael Dennis Browne sung with joy and gusto by the inimitable Choral Arts Northwest.
