Description
Looking back at the Civil War and looking ahead in fear at WWII, Florence Price’s seldom-heard masterwork Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight sets Vachel Lindsay’s poem of the same name. Period memorial music from 1865, songs composed immediately upon Lincoln’s death, complete the program.
