Description

In “A Light Shining in the Darkness,” Ensign acknowledges the challenges of life that each of us goes through by performing music that expresses the dark feelings we sometimes experience, including a movement from Verdi’s Requiem and Gjeilo’s “Dark Night of the Soul.” Ensign’s musicians will then seek to fulfil our mission to uplift and bless audiences by moving from darkness to light with stunning choral-orchestral arrangements of “Death Shall Not Destroy My Comfort,” “Morning Has Broken,” a youth choir rendition of “This Little Light of Mine,” and more. The evening will culminate with Beethoven’s glorious “Ode to Joy.”
