Love to sing? We are looking for new members who enjoy singing, improving their vocal skills, performing and having lots of fun. We sing a wide variety of music: contemporary, Broadway, folk, gospel, classical, jazz, etc.
No audition is required choir however an ear for music and willingness to practice is. It is helpful but not necessary to be able to read music as we have online tools to help you learn your part.

The Esoterics’ autumn concert will explore poetry and music that is well-grounded and drawn downward, including 'Gravity’s dream' by Steven Stucky, as well as two cycles by Robert Paterson — 'Eternal reflections' and 'The essence of gravity' — setting poems by Czeslaw Milosz, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Mary Elizabeth Frye. The centerpiece of this program will be three world premieres by the winners of this year’s POLYPHONOS competition: Conrad Asman, Daniel Sabzghabaei, and Vahram Sarkissian.

Opus 7 sings music about TIME: hard times, good times, times of morning and evening, seasons of the year, and celebrating the time of living. Selections include the world premiere of Singing Together by John Muehleisen; Chatman's Time Pieces; Hall Johnson’s Ain’t Got Time to Die and Kodály’s Este (Evening) and Akik mindig elkésnek (Too Late), and music by Britten, Irving Fine, Howells, Mendelssohn, Finzi, Paulus and Craig Hella Johnson.

Our third Seattle Sings Choral Festival features 35 of our member choirs performing over three days: Thursday and Friday nights starting at 7:00pm, and all day Saturday from 10:00am until 9:00pm.

We are pleased to welcome Joan Szymko as our Composer in Residence! Joan will be composing a new work to be performed by the participating choirs at the conclusion of Thursday and Friday’s festival performances, and at intervals throughout the day on Saturday, and then again at the closing ceremonies.

Peter Tchaikovsky's victorious 1880 court case surrounding his Divine Liturgy opened the floodgates of creativity in Russian Orthodox Church music. Benedict Sheehan, an emerging authority on Russian Orthodox singing and music director at St. Tikhon’s Seminary and Monastery in Pennsylvania, makes his Cappella Romana debut with this program featuring selections from Tchaikovsky’s groundbreaking All-Night Vigil, Op. 52, and his transcendent Nine Sacred Pieces.
